That is the whole process. You have the custom view which is referenced in the layout id you give to setContentView(), and that view in turn inflates it's children in the init() method.
@cygery I reset my device and I can text again lol. Like, recovery mode reset. I probably could have just turned it off and on again, but I didn't think of that until after.

in each values bucket such as 'values-xlarge' create a strings.xml, add a string that contains the name of that bucket. Output it to a textview. Which ever bucket it lands in, it will display that text
not perfect but works and its how i figured out which bucket my htc one m7 uses

latest is 23 - 6.0, can't target that because we're not ready for the new permission model... 22 is just 5.1, haven't tested against a 5.1 sdk yet... so 21 it is :P
