Whats wrong with using Array.Sort(myArray);? why do they force us to use bubblesort? :(

Yes it is, they tell us how bad bubblesort is and some consider it shouldn't be thought to students, and then they say we are going to work with it :)

If it crashes, it's because of how you wrote it

bubble sort isn't a program, it's an algorithm

For instance, you could sort all null elements first, or last, or as you say stop the sort altogether

A simple fix for your program would be this:

if ((myArray[i]?.Length ?? 0) > (myArray[j]?.Length ?? 0))

(x ?? 0) means: if x is null, use 0

x?.Length means: if x is null, return null, if x is not null, return x.Length

so this: `(myArray[i]?.Length ?? 0)` means this:
if `myArray[i]` is non-null, return it's length, otherwise return 0
