a vote for hillary is an implicit vote for more corruption and sponsoring of people that should be murdered by fists and a vote for trump is a vote for someone that is a clown and is totally unqualified to be a world leader, so as an american, please believe that we're not excited for the election

to my personal politics: i think we need to do away with the position of "president" for real progress

that's not the point of our political system though, so people that take it at face value get what they deserve/want

i genuinely believe that xenophobia, hatred of other cultures, and racism is a learned behavior, that some cultures are objectively worse for people than others, and that confusing all of this is by design of the american process

the reaction is the part that's trained though

i'm generally anti-immigration now, but the love of my life is foreign-born, my first experience with "oh you have girl parts" was with an egyptian girl, and one of my high-school friends is from iraq

i think there's a plan to paint people like me as racists/bigots/xenophobic, even though "born in america" is maybe less likely in my social group

Maybe I'm an optimist, but I think if you give most americans the context or actually ask them, they won't express xenophobic ideas
