I started reading about building a router in react. The first link I got to didn't deal with the history API, but rather with "hash-based routing". Is that bad?

Just use the history wrapper I linked. It's lightweight, and handles html5 or hash-based for you.

(but you only need html5 history with IE11+)

Sure. It's just a popstate event to know when the user click back/forward and a pushState and replaceState to change the url without reloading.

in either of those cases you also want to: parse the url to get parameters out of it, then load data, then swap the component the user sees.

It's flawed, but it'll work. It's probably better than home grown if you aren't confident you know what the moving pieces are.

Just the config.. Sometimes you want a handler common to all routes, but you have to specify it on each, other minor things. Go use it.. it's not bad enough that I would tell you to absolutely stay away.

And.. most of your routing code should be in just a couple files, so if you decide to replace it later it shouldn't be TOO costly.

It's <Route /> style of config is a gimmick.

Tach wire (doesn't work), Two oil pressure cables, battery positive, battery negative, headlight relay and wiring (5 wires), ac positive, negative, fault protection wire, hei wire, temp gauge wire, ignition wire, radio wire ( not in fuse block atm ), horn wire ( doesn't work ), tail lights relay + buzzers ( 5 wires )

So.. my Eagle was from 1987 and had lots of emmissions equipment. All vacuum.
