The paper wasp... super common in VA. Huge ass wasp. The sting left a .5cm hole scar in my calf and the venom caused the top layer of the skin of my calf to die and peel. Worst sting I've ever felt

My broken knee wasn't as swollen as my leg was from this sting

When I was a baby, a bee stung my eyelid

When I was around 9, a wasp got into a soda can I was drinking out of, and stung my lip

Oh, and once I was volunteering at a nature center, and I was digging out the wood chips, and I disturbed a wasp nest. I got stung about a dozen times in the back.

A friend of mine was drinking a soda one night using a straw, for some weird reason, and put it on her side table. Woke up the next day, took a sip, and felt something weird in her mouth. Looked in the straw and a sandworm (house centipede) had crawled into the soda can overnight and come most of the way up the straw.

learning node/react won't help if you don't understand how JS scoping works for example

@FlorianMargaine sort of coincidentally we switched to OVH today at work. they are much faster than azure at network!

ES6 stuff makes js scoping so much easier to figure out

var is completely different in JS than it is elsewhere (in C# for example)

@ssube yeah the main difference is that C# scopes are brace-specific. So it's the variable scoping that changes how closures work, not closures themselves

Bernie is pretty much out due to the super delegates.

They can change at any time, however its a way to ensure the candidate the party wants gets the nomination

@rlemon can and typically do, but after the popular vote has occurred

regardless of who people vote for.

I thought Bernie was ahead? I'm not up to date on any of it. I don't like any Republican candidates, and I dislike Hilary more than Bernie, but I can't say I like Bernie either... It's a clusterfuck this election

so chances are, by the end of it, Sanders will have quite a few super delegates, even if he doesn't win

superdelegates are party faithful who usually decide based on what's good for the party. given that bernie very openly doesn't give two shits about the democratic party, throwing the DNC under the bus every chance he gets, it's no real surprise that superdelegates are running the other direction.

Yeah remember this part of the election is just the clubs picking who they want to be their candidate

allowing people to vote for it is just a nicety

they started off supporting Clinton, by default, because she's from DC. Sanders essentially has to win enough of the popular primary vote that the super delegates will follow.

So the Hillary Victory Fund is this:
The DNC, Hillary campaign, and 32 states.
Voter donation limits to individual campaigns are $2700
Limit Donation to a state Democratic Party is: $10000 per state
Max donation to the DNC is: $33,400 to the dollar.
32 states have a "stake" in her victory fund, meaning they are looking for a return on their investment.
What Hillary is doing currently is having people donating $10000 to each state through this victory fund, and $33400 to the DNC. But the issue is, that most of the money is going into this fund for her campaign, but she promises these states …

they already have some weird rules about appearing on the convention ballot, like winning over 50% in 8 states during primaries

and delegates are only bound for the first round of voting during an open convention

Yeah, the Republicans certainly aren't any more interested in true democracy than the Democrats are, they just try to control the outcome in different ways.

I don't think what she is doing there is illegal, she's too smart for that. I'm sure she had a team of lawyers analyze it to make sure it is legal. It is spitting in the spirit of the laws, though

Clinton is ahead by 200 delegates at the moment, with 1400 left to vote.

There's no way she's sweeping the last 1400 and it would be hard to even get 1000 of them, so it will end up pretty close.
