that's every possible substring of the entry compared to every field, which is like fields*1 for a single letter, fields*3 for two letters, fields*6 for 3 letters, etc

the one on the right is another canvas. I have a third in-memory canvas to which I do exactly what I do to the first, but in the end I draw the entire in-memory canvas to the second canvas. The performance difference is huge

as in, the difference with a 200x200 canvas to which I just call ctx.fillRect on every pixel is of 100ms on chrome 44, and 200ms on my android
