Developers I work with are smart, but most of the times they're stuck because they don't know how to correctly think imho. When they have an issue, I usually just ask them questions and they end up getting it

put the blocks in display: inline-block, then make sure the right div takes all of the right. Then add a div in the right block, put your text in it, and the margin auto should work
