does using `.bind` create a copy of the function? I am curious about which is best practice, given var fn = function(x){};
fn.bind(this,1);
vs
function(){ fn(1); }

I agree. But just using bind to call the function when `this` is not going to be used makes no sense is what I was curious about. Here is a larger example
function fn(x){ console.log(x); }
function run(func){ func(); }
//using anon callback
run(function(){ fn(1); });
//using bind
run(fn.bind(this,1));

Is using bind excessive here versus using the anonymous function?

also, bind is slow, but the ending function runs faster than the anonymous one, I think

They couldn't give me pain meds in the ambulance cause I lost so much blood they couldn't risk me going unconcious

All I remember is 2 fingers shoved an inch into my leg

and then waking up post ER surgery in the worst pain of my life
