anyways, I made a 'game' (I suppose you can call it a game) that pulls random images from imgur. The point of the game is to see how many SFW images you can get before you get a NSFW. there is no scoring or anything and no user accounts.. just for fun / risk in the office.

I know @TristanWiley is dying to play it :D

We used to use Birdcage

.. which might be an internal tool

And now we're using another in house setup

Which basically boils down to a ton of if statements in the app

Being toggled by JSON responses once every 24 hours

And we filter who gets what based on region/location/purchase history etc.

do you set up logging via google analytics? like set some variable in the ga hits to "poolA"

Not through Google Analytics, but we do log events based on Control/Not control

Not sure what we use for analytics

Some of it is in house

I believe it's mostly in house, then put into splunk

You test a feature with part of your userbase, and leave part without it and see who had a better response

Though a lot of ours have more than two variants

in science they call this control and variable

we test basically every change we make

You could, but I would strongly suggest making a proper system from the ground up. We did it very adhoc, and it's causing us nightmares now
