SO when you press tab in AS it give moves the cursor 4 spaces, but while pressing backspace to delete those 4 spaces you have to click backspace 4 times. so all of you face same issues? it was not there in eclipse and it frustrates a lot.
shivam, there is the tab button on your keyboard, but also the tab character '\t', and there is a difference between the two. I hesitate to explain to you how to solve your problem until you understand what I'm actually talking about.
in Eclipse and other editors, what is inserted into your editing field can be customized. In some situations, it will insert a tab character, which typically (but not always) takes up four spaces. In other situations it will actually insert 4 spaces, not a tab character.
so the difference you're seeing, is that in Eclipse, it was inserting the tab character, thus backspacing would delete that single character and move you back four spaces. In Android Studio, it is instead inserting 4 space characters

I am trying to install HAXM to use a virtual device for Android Studio, but I get the error stating "This computer does not support Intel Visualization Technology (VT-x). HAXM cannot be installed" when I try downloading it. Why?
On their site they state that the 32 bit Vista version DOES support...

the last time I was in switzerland I met up with this project lead of this open source project and his gf. His girlfriend is a high school teacher at some really rich school in zurich and she got piss drunk. And she starts talking. It was surreal. It was like in a bad movie. She broke down because she caught one of her kids smoking weed at the back of the school and the kid fainted. And she put everything on herself.

Type in 'spac' in the search panel of the settings view.
You will find Code Style->Java->Tabs and Indents->Use tab character.
