That's up to you. But it's always nice to suggest to new developers to not use variable, function, class names, etc... that are exactly/close to api names
In android studio it is saying that private field principal and interest is never assigned, does anyone know what the default values are so I can assign them?

I'm trying to do an app which interacts with Googles Tasks API, the user can mark tasks as completed, delete them etc. Should I use an IntentService + ResultReceiver or SyncAdapter for this?
I'm doing the app for an online course, but I'm totally stuck! Been trying for days using IntentService + ResultReceiver but I can't seem to get it right
The SyncAdapter approach seems harder but might solve it, what do you think?
sounds like those things have two entirely different use cases and should not be compared to each other.
asynctask is just a generic background utility, sync adapter will sync data and allow you to handle conflicts etc? or am i misreading what syncadapter does?
it looks like a better tool for making a reminders app with tasks api though
i'm assuming you're doing a reminders app or to do list or something, and to sync that data between phone and cloud it sounds like the better tool to use - but the classes are for different use cases and not really comparable

guys need an advise about architecture I need to perform some job (bluetooth low energy scan) periodically. It will run like this: one attempt is a 1-3 short scans with short pause between them. Then it's a long pause (3 minutes). Then it's a new attempt and so on.
Scanning result should be stored somewhere in app so that any element should reach them when needed.
is it possible to write an auto answering machine for android ? for example when incoming call event occurs, this application start to play voice.
