ok @Bartek there is a Vector library which functions similar to Lists in other languages. It seems very useful, but some of our teachers dont think we should use it at all. Is there some serious drawback associated with using the Vectors (like eats too much memory, cpu time). Or is that just subjective opinion?

yes yes yes! after 8 hours I finally got tabs working (with a few frames) in Android. A huge boost to my hacking skills! p.s. reminds me not to put up 500 lines in 5 classes and try to debug them all at once. It is actually not fun.
