I spent all frickin day updating gnome and getting kde working too because of some obscure compositing bug that gnome had. The updated gnome fixes the bug I had but introduces an even WORSE bug

KDE doesn't have the bug so I thought I'd try that out. Bad font rendering, annoying gimmicky effects everywhere

@CatPlusPlus The funny thing is KDE has an almost useless number of settings to change. Its borders on being silly. And in Gnome, you can't change anything by default, not even the fonts iirc (which is important because it comes with a really ugly font)
