@R.MartinhoFernandes Pain depends heavily upon depth, and how sharp/cleanly the wound is made. When I was in high school I once cut myself with my pocket knife--but I kept that knife sharp enough that I literally only barely felt the cut at all, and it had healed shut within a few hours. Now there's basically no visible scar at all--the only visible evidence is that there's a spot where the whorls of my thumbprint are minutely misaligned.

You just push your mostly-HTML pages on, use a couple of require and <? if (...): > or <? foreach (...): ?> and you are done.

Hmm, students run into the most beautiful of compiler errors; two days ago a student approached me asking why the compiler was saying "Unable to convert tm * into tm *", as it turned out he had declared his own struct named tm in the local scope, but used a function returning a struct tm * (gmtime) and tried to assign the result from that to his own declared tm*

I felt really nostalgic and remembered when I also happened to write such code, and got confused by the diagnostic; good times, good times

I got frustrated today when I reviewed a colleague's code, I couldn't take my critique of his entanglement of async stuff to the end
