@grrigore None of my phones seem to have a USB C video out, but it works over just USB C with my laptop and Mac Mini, so if you have a fancy phone that supports it, probably

The screen itself is quite dim, and takes about 2.5 hours off my laptop's battery life

But pretty great for sitting in a hotel or coffee shop or somewhere where you can charge your laptop and work

I was dumb and didn't add my frequent flyer number to a bunch of flights and now retroactively claiming them might push me over the edge for moving up a frequent flyer tier on Qantas

does that give you additional stuff during flights?

Mostly stuff like additional points/slightly faster check ins/free seat selection at this level

If you go high up enough you get upgrades and stuff

But it's usually not worth it to stick to a single airline or alliance to get that high up unless someone else is paying for the tickets

That's what my coworkers on the client side do when they move

Rack up the point on their reward plan

With tickets paid by the company

One of them did three or four times the trip way and back France <-> Venezuela. Ka-ching

There's limits to how useful just regular airline status gets tho, not super useful for me since I don't stick to a single airline

So I mostly bank the points and use them to upgrade or buy business/first flights

there was an update in september that breaks internet adapters and I guess it's not fixed yet still because every time it updates it's broken again and I have to roll it back

@Tim my thought is the update removes correct translation of the driver, happens more often and causes very odd behaviour

perhaps someone made a hotfix script

I did the registry things for disabling updates, but it doesn't work

50% of the time I need a hotfix for my finger print reader device after windows update

I also needed it for my soundboard driver, but this was all on my older PC

$100 is really not that bad, and it's just shy of 1kg, so not that much weight

Seems like phone support is limited, their page claims a number of flagships work, but I don't have any of those and it didn't work with my 6P or 5T

You can probably look up/test some random USB C monitor with your phone to see if you can get video out to work
