My app is able to auto-read OTP message using SMS Retriever API when there is no +(plus symbol) in hash key. But, app-signing is enabled on Play Console for my app, and certificate provided on console gives hashkey with a plus symbol. So, app is not auto-reading OTP message. Yeah, I can imagine. Now that I am really starting to see the dimensions of the tooling that is behind that stuff, I think I might actually look for alternatives again. For small projects it's nice because you don't have to bother about stuff but for anything bigger it feels like a big mess.
What I love the most though is the live reload but nowadays that's in most frameworks.

A guy from the Flutter community went ahead and added support for it :D So Flutter had Hooks functionality before RN did despite Hooks being a React feature lol

Didn't have time for it yet. I had a lot of college and private stuff going on the last weeks and currently I am working on the tooling. The thing I wrote so far was pure JS without any additional tooling on my end so I recently configured eslint and flow and fixed and annotated the shit out of that project.

@TimCastelijns I honestly don't know. The bundles only contain js code so I'm not sure if it would work, if you add a new permission, that would require a modification of the AndroidManifest within the Android side of the RN project and so that would require another submission to the play store

It's how Instagram / Facebook updates with new features without you downloading a new update for it
