Anybody worked on XMPP?

java.lang.String org.jivesoftware.smack.util.dns.HostAddress.getFQDN() null object reference

I am trying to implement https with BKS certificate on XMPP.

I have checked on ejabbered server and there got no such user.

Client is not, or no longer, connected. Did you call connect() before login()?

some are so trivial like hardcoded text and interlalization

I usually fix the first warning I cause, hurts my eyes

in my app aws dynamo db code is working fine up to Oreo but when i run the app in Pie then app crash and i got below error

let me explain
i have developed one android app using AWS dynamoDB.
Its working fine up to API level 27(Oreo). But when i run the app on API level 28(Pie) app is crash and i got the below exception

@Shailesh I see that you're not using the latest version of aws sdk (2.11.0) and from this thread github.com/aws-amplify/aws-sdk-android/issues/562 this issue has been solved in 2.8.2, so I'd suggest you to upgrade the whole thing to at least 2.8.2

Mehdi B let me update it up to 2.8.2 and check it

he said he updated, and he is a senior dev so I assume he knows how that works

actually i have tries as i said but i have deleted build directory so code is pointing to older version of code

why not update everything to 2.11.0? I also see you have different versions for different AWS artifacts, any reason why you didn’t align the versions?

Tim Castelijns & Mehdi B thx, i have tried with 2.8.2 and 2.11.0 and its working fine. I have tested in emulator and its working fine, now i am going to check on real device with API level 28(Pie)
