if you convert your project to AndroidX, check if it hasn't removed the variables of the versions from the root gradle script

I think I'm seriously getting to the end of options

it doesn't, it just replaces the dependencies directly and leaves the variables untouched

I'm pretty desperate since last few weeks

I think this one is the killing one, end of project honestly

The error keeps popping up randomly and the only temporary solving was manually rebuilding the project

it is possible that you are doing too many things at once? It should be easy to take small steps and fix errors on the go

shit doesn't work? git reset and try again

Solved this error by manually rebuilding, then moved on for a while, and then it comes back taking another couple of days of my time untill I now have barely time left

All I know it is one class that, when removed, makes the app able to build. The thing is, that class is not modified since a long while

I tried all other classes, references etc just to figure which one was the cause. The trial / error way of doing this is what costed most time

So it is that database class specific, but the errors are nog related

But I am very suspicious about 2nd hand laptops. If they have a board issue they might have placed it in the oven and the laptop could run for 2 months or 2 years

I would just buy a desktop with no extras

I usually do a lot of research before buying from an unknown company. Tweakers seems to love this company
