@Dereleased I'm not sure if I'd be able to help organize it :/ PHP is a small portion of my job, and I doubt I can get the justification to attend such a conference. I would have to do it on my own time, and request vacation, pay for my own trip, etc.

@AaronSmith I'm quite hesitant to give you advice, as you seem to obsess over stuff.....but possibly you should try to store more information in your head, rather than in 'notes'. Programmers need to be able to understand stuff in their head, rather than in notes....

@PeeHaa I would have to request it and provide justification, then get it in the budget. Again, not out of the question, it's a possibility, but it will take time because we're already in a new FY. Plus our budget is still pretty shoe-string.

@Danack I work with someone who doesn't "understand stuff in their head" ... it's a nightmare most of the time. She can't think through a problem on her own, she has to go through her notes. If she doesn't have notes on it, she doesn't know how to do it. wat.

@Danack - I want to understand something before moving on, I don't want to be skipping things here (this is probably the #1 thing that I am doing in my life and I want to specialize in this). I like doing the notes, the learning seem to be better. On the other hand, all advice like this is good

@Tiffany I once worked with a marketing guy who the company basically had to employ an low-level peon to sit next to them, just so the guy could think through problems by discussing them with the peon...... The peon wouldn't have any input, the marketing guy just couldn't think things through in his head; he had to have a conversation with someone else to analyze problems.

@PeeHaa we have a training budget, yes, but something like this I would probably have to request money for and get in the budget for next FY. But I really doubt I would get the approval. I dunno, maybe being an organizer will drive the cost down some?

@Danack to be fair, I think she has a mental problem (I think she might be mildly autistic... but I'm not a licensed psychologist, and it's none of my business) and that's why she has trouble thinking through problems. She keeps meticulous notes, however.

@AaronSmith to be clear; your behaviour is not typical. Most programmers work things through in their head, or then have clear questions. Spamming your thoughts out like you do is......odd. you really need to learn to think about things inside your own head.

I've been understanding all these points and the advice from the day one. I am a beginner, like I said.

either way, with the example - if we return 0 - nothing happens - we can return 1,000,000 zeros and it wont change the array - if we return 1 - this does the "moving", but what does the "moving" of finding the right spots for the $b (this gets moved)
