@suraj As I recall, bugs are reportable on whatever meta you choose. I'd have to find an re-read the meta to be sure.
However, if it's the Stack Exchange app, then MSE sounds like it would be more appropriate, just not required. The appropriate people should end up seeing it, regardless of which meta you use.
@Makyen Actually there is a close>off-topic reason on MSO saying - "This question does not appear to be about Stack Overflow or the software that powers the Stack Exchange network, within the scope defined in the help center." which means software that power the SE network are on topic on MSO. Hmmm. .
@suraj My experience is that if you want more (general) eyes on the issue, post on MSO. The traffic there is higher. MSE tends to be frequented more by people specifically interested in the overall network. It does not appear to get as much traffic as MSO. Effectively, this means that if it's an RFE, you are more likely to get broader support for it by posting on MSO (not that that broader support will actually make an RFE happen).
The suggested edit queue has that problem, it promotes simple edits (spelling, code formatting that is easy to check) and very often rejects edit that really tries to improve answers (the taught probably is "drastic changes"), but honestly with an answer like that if you don't do drastic changes it needs to be deleted.
@TimCastelijns not really, lots of meta, last thing I saw was shog speaking in a video (about rep for duplicating and old times when 1 cv was enough to close), anyway I think SE needs to make up their mind if they like to keep the cv or not...

it could be rather ok if they put their code in it... and they must have somewhat working python starter already because they successfully created a mmap object
Is this bountied question worth a mod flag? Question is literally "Anyone, please help me how can I start making this neural network?" which sounds very, very broad to me.
@PaulStenne that's kind of my problem; I mod-flagged several bountied posts like this one this year already, only to have most flags either flat out declined, or ignored until the bounty is over and then helpful with the message "Bounty is over now, feel free to close"
@E_net4 by now a gold badge holder from the MATLAB room flagged it
I doubt something will happen though; as I said: most of my (and other's in the MATLAB room) flags on bountied questions get either declined or ignored until the bounty's over

@Adriaan what bothers me a little is they describe the technical details but they don't mention what registry settings, files, or configuration choices to change/delete/revert if you have been affected

@MartinJames I'm not convinced "elitist" per se is bad. It is just that one should not feel superiour in general for better knowing. (I did not say I always follow my own advice)
It's probably accurate to say that unmaintained/poorly maintained FOSS is more vulnerable than proprietary code, but even that is a stretch since there's no way to know how well maintained/secured proprietary code is until it's thrown out into the sunlight
@TylerH The point is actually thee irony. In fact it was already wrong when they saaid that, but to managers and MBAs it sounded reasonable ("on FOSS projects a lot of people have access who don't even know each other or have signed some company rules"). But now it even becomes clear to them it was shullbit.

Ho FireAlarm, what did you do? Don't show me Csv, Xlsx, Xls question. Not after 2 days fixing my client data import when It manager send me a Xlsx file ziped into a folder that the rename into .csv, to compress the file into a readable csv. I had enought.
@DragandDrop I have even seen MBAs doing a good job as programmer. Very rare, but it happens. And I have seen Dr.-Ings (electrotechnics) who I'd not even let turn on the room lights. Some paper from any university, etc. does not tell anything about the quality of a person.

two or three of us like working in the dark but there's one or two squares that are like "you're in the room the lights should be on" and I just wonder if they sleep with the lights on at home...
I cannot sleep if there is light. If it's midsummer, or I'm working shifts, I black out the bedroom window with cooking foil. OK, so I get raided on suspicion of growing weed, but at least I get sleep when I need it.
@Machavity e've had three nuisance raids, set up by ..peole with some grudge or another. The weed raid, (lasted about 5 minutes), another by RSPCA about maltreating our dog, (lasted about 30 seconds), and one about 'stolen computers', which was more annoying since I had a roomful of them, boxes with flashing lights and cables everywhere, which looked suspicius if youve never seen a developer's home office before:(
@MartinJames Wasn't there a report about someone growing weed inside a server rack? With blinders like HDD bays, etc.? I think I read about this once. After all a plausible excuse for high current consumption.

I thought about writing "stop whining and start learning" as comment, but don't want to get another rudeness flag (I don't consider it rude, but generation snowflake most likely will)
When you start commenting on the behavior of the user instead of the post you can end up with rude/abusive flags, no matter how right you are. It depends on context and country of origin....
@rene I see your point and I don't intend to use that right now. It just drives me crazy hear people not even trying to understand. Heck, I read unknown words, phrases and abbreviations here all the time and normally don't ask, but do research on my own. Where did those kids get that "feed me" attitude??
@Adriaan I hardly believe that. All European languages have some foreign words. What do you say for "purse/wallet" for instance? Something like "portemonnaie"?
@user0042 The Germans did, too. And we all use a lot of words with greek or latin origin. The Romans even adopted the greek's gods (with some minor refactoring).
@Olaf I'm still not sure if that feed me attitude is caused by the expectation of information at your fingertips without the realization that the information needs to be created by people. Maybe I'm just jealous that it seems so much easier for the younger generation. Might be both. Needs a good education system. That is for schools and university, not for more roads or lower company taxes or guns/fighter planes.
I do, I just don't see a way to fix it with the way SO works. They don't want to possibly throw out a good question so the filters are very conservative.
@Olaf I don't consider loan words/words which originally came from another language to be "non-Dutch" btb. If it's in our dictionary, it's Dutch for me, regardless of whether it happens to be the same in another language. I mean "mama" is the same in like 30 languages
@rene It is not so much the problem of providing the information (I don't think information can be created, just structured - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_of_energy). It is more the problem of comprehension. And I'm not sure the younger have an adavantage over us oldies. Sure, maybe string theory or other far-away stuff, but not if it logically comprehensible. After all we hgave the experience and a lot to associate. I've met quite some young ppl who think like an 80yo gandpa.
@Adriaan I can agree with that, but try to use certain words of latin/french/etc. origin in an everyday situation and you will instantly be marked as "elitist" :-(
