Colleagues will have appreciated that events have been moving rapidly and I want to emphasise that the knowledge that I have which is definite is so far very limited. What I am able to say to the House is that there has been a serious incident within the estate. It seems that a police officer has been stabbed; that the alleged assailant was shot by armed police. An air ambulance is attending the scene to remove the casualties. There are also reports of further violent incidents in the vicinity.

I rode Amtrak in the US instead of flying and it was terrible. I liked trains in the UK much better. Haven't ridden them anywhere else yet

John oliver is a comedian / presenter but he's only the facade of the show, the information he presents are not his but the teams behind the show (financial analysts etc.. with democratic political appartenance) so he presents whatever analysis his team pulls

But agreed that the show is strongly democrats oriented and most of its content is against the Republicans and the current administration
