@BartekBanachewicz Any humanism (and feminism is a humanism) starts with the idea that every human is allowed free thought and worthy of respect. Do you respect your fellow human?
But why do we have to change anything? It's not our fault. I don't see why we should be the ones changing the name because a few jackasses hijacked it.
@BartekBanachewicz We don't see the same Internet, and honestly if you think your views are any more representative of reality than mine, then you have a problem.
My personal experience is that feminism is a good thing that does mostly good things. Maybe outside in the real world it isn't. But around me, it does good stuff.
@EtiennedeMartel it's not your feminism, it's that they will think you are a psycho whether you are or not because in some ( a lot?) Of people's minds they are synonymous
@BartekBanachewicz Sure. I've seen plenty of women go all "I don't need feminism because..." and then follow up with a complete misunderstanding of what feminism is about.
For example there were these women who said that they weren't feminists because they wanted to stay at home and raise their family. Feminism is, amongst other things, about freedom of choice, so staying at home isn't incompatible with that.

A while ago I tried to cut my meat content down to 0. I called myself a vegetarian and then realised it was a massive mistake because while I was cutting my meat down over time (not going cold er.. Turkey) people would tell me "you're not a vegetarian haha, you've given up already"
