Anvil firing (also known as an anvil launching or an anvil shooting) is the practice of firing an anvil into the air with gunpowder. Typically, two anvils are used: one as a base (placed upside down), and another one (also known as the "flier") as the projectile (placed right-side up, atop the base). Cast iron is what you get by adding even more carbon than you would for steel. You typically melt it and cast it into a mould.

Dunno why DF requires the fuel, though. I couldn't find a method of production that added both carburized iron and carbon.

Q: Speeding up the initial git-svn fetch

I have a big repository, 100,000+ revisions with a very high branching factor. The initial fetch of the full SVN repository using git-svn has been running for around 2 months and it's only up to revision 60,000. Is there any way to speed this thing up? I'm already regularly killing and restart...
