@sehe Half of his slides wouldn't compile at all on MSVC (No char16/32 or related string types, no unicode literals, so you'd just have hex literals in their place or just raw numbers). The rest is punting around with ICU (regex and normalization) and Boost.Locale, and talking about how vanilla C++ supports none of these things at all.

If they don't I'd focus on the problem it solves, common areas of uncertainty to novices (how it works with smart pointers etc) and so on. I don't think you'd need too many resources to cover it.
