I have different assumptions of singleton and transient

it is unrelated to lifetime

it is related to sharing

transient services are not shared between different usages

while singletons can be shared

that is basically how I look at them

@crazyTech if you have the chance, look into LINQ & Entity Framework, it might make your life easier

requires some set up but once youve got it accessing data become insanely easy

Yeh your random number only gets set once, you need to create a new number on each loop, as @ntohl points out, you need to move that declaration inside the loop, so it gets a new number on each pass
