i looked into how many times it'll get hit a day roughly, and looked at our default threadpool count, and i'm pretty positive we'd be alright without async await, but, things like httpclient don't even offer a synchronous method, so then you're stuck trying to prevent it from spreading, and it'd just be 1000x easier to do it now than when the solution grows into a behemoth

I wonder if you can prove that thread handling would be much more difficult

+ when you start 1 thread to do something, the next time somebody comes in and has to do some work... what do they do? They look at how things are currently implemented and mimic it... so, 1 turns into 2, 2 turns into 10

If your SQLiteConnection lets you CreateCommand and ExecuteQuery on that command, I'd maybe try debugging things that way. Just to confirm at a lower level that things are fucked up.

Also, you might be able to get a column list of the result set from that

I've seen before where SQLite was putting superfluous table alias prefixes on column names when selecting from a view

The constructor seems to be where it reflects on the attributes you specified in ZoneInfo model

there's also a TableMapping.FindColumn method I'd put a breakpoint in.

if that's returning null, then there's almost definitely a problem with the setup done by the TableMapping constructor

it seems to be mapping okay so far

I'm going down through the mappings here and they all seem to be mapping fine

so ExecuteDeferredQuery is where it makes use of that TableMapping
