I was frustrated with autocmpletion, so I enabled something called "autocomplete on space"

so now it expands stuff everywhere, like, on the left-hand side of assignment, into function calls and what not

@idjaw: the two main servers are windows (running an old mssql app). I might propose a migration path at some point but to be honest I want to use my sweat equity for code changes before environment ones.. ultimately though I think the reproducibility/deployment advantages will push them that way.

Yeah, I agree with that logic. On our end when we had areas we wanted to improve, they were easily categorized as technical debt, and we managed to budget a percentage of effort to focus on fixing these things while still having most focus on producing features. It worked beautifully for us

there are rooms that do this already that you can go to, in order to be fed info by a bot and act accordingly. Very good bots I might add as well.

oh, this discussion is happening. the motivation in not having bot/user script CVs posted to the room is to prevent this room from being turned into a specialized cs-pls/close-vote room

suggestion from a "normal" user - can you just make the policy "all or nothing" on cv-plz? it feels even more confusing to me after reading the linked one, someone told me to stop using the bot earlier but the policy seems to imply you can use it ?

or make it a "only people who can do this are room owners" or something
