It's a thing. While we write programs to take it, move it around, lose it, etc, it's not really a good tag. A better tag is currency, which takes into account an actual usage. Here's the excerpts

@EJoshuaS and @Nkosi, I've only seen two of the three answers. I think you guys might be going a bit hard on the person. This answer (the one you linked @EJoshuaS), looks to be OK and is arguably better quality than that question's other answers. The one that SD found is not OK. The person clearly is attempting to do good. Please try to guide people in the right direction, where it looks like it's possible, as opposed to just jumping on them.
@Machavity and @Fred-ii-, FYI: I released a fork of that script as Roomba Forecaster: (Github, StackAps) which checks for all the different Roomba tasks (instead of just one) and will tell you when the question will be Roomba'ed, or why it won't be Roomba'ed and if you down-voting the question and/or answer(s) will cause the question to be Roomba'ed.
@AjayBrahmakshatriya afaik not; and we shouldn't either in case of spam. In case of abusive Shog9 has mentioned that for higher rep users we should flag as VLQ since it might be a case of "cat on keyboard"
@Adriaan I see, but consider something like "link at the end of answer". If a high rep is doing it, it must be something genuine. A part of the answer maybe.
I'm not familiar with the code of SD, but I suspect it has something to do with post quality, rather than user reputation. I.e. if there's a lot of text and code without trigger words for spam, I can imagine SD doesn't catch it.
@SmokeDetector lowest 3 answers there need to be deleted as link-only I'd say
@xenteros why do people indent things 4 times, instead of 1?!? Markdown doesn't even normally allow that, as it will just indent and de-indent instead of keep on indenting ad infinitum

@TylerH I mean that by asking someone to edit in tags so that you can dupe-hammer, one is effectively using the fact that we're a team to circumvent a rule in place to avoid abusing hammer privilege

though I think it should be OK to request someone else add the tag, because then you're introducing another person/set of eyes into the equation, aka some accountability. Still an easy avenue for abuse (hence why we don't allow it here apparently), though.

@Fred-ii- I was confused yesterday as to why you made it a point to tell me that the OP wasn't a person who answered questions. Were you encouraging me to identify users like that to let them know to mark questions as answered?
@FrankerZ Not "indentify" per se. I usually take a peek at OP's other questions in case there's a possible repost, or are just using Stack as a free coding service and keep leeching. I wasn't saying neither to "not answer" for those, that is entirely up to you. There are many reasons why questions should be marked off as solved, and I'm sure you know those ;-)
I usually do nudge them after a day or so if they haven't marked it as answered

Do you not have your own network login for the computer?
If so, then you should be fine; adding a browser add-on typically does not require admin privileges, and only adds it to the user who is logged in, not all users. IIRC
@TylerH Policy is tough or maybe funny; each project has bunch of laptops that you use with other folks working on that project. Nobody has an assigned laptop. Only desktops are assigned to people.
@SotiriosDelimanolis @NathanOliver If the Q was (reasonably) clear and the edit invalidated already posted answers, not just comments, in order to change the Q into a different question, then the consensus is that such edits should be reverted by anyone with edit privileges. There are exceptions. Example exceptions: A) The OP corrects a cut-&-paste error that clearly wasn't what the question was about. B) Clarifying a question to which people wrote guess-answers (e.g. FGITW), when the question was unclear.

About the vote to close userscript . It would be nice if the cv-pls did not appear if a question was deleted. This one for instance I was looking at stackoverflow.com/q/44832427 viewable only by 10K+ / mods, still shows cv-pls. I'm unsure if it would even post in here if I tried it.
I did notice some type of a bug in here though. Under the "There are other rooms, with 112 users currently talking in 57 rooms." - there are starred posts and I have to zoom out in order to see the others. There should be a scrollbar of sorts.
@Fred-ii- you can ask others to star it if you really want to. If you feel it is important for the room to see, you can ask a Room Owner to "pin" it which will put it at the top of the star board with a star outline rather than a solid black star next to it
you'll quickly find that even if chat were on fire there'd be little effort to put the fire out. Part of this relies on the fact that the boss of the company thinks chat is stupid
so they don't have much push from above to do much for chat

The overall concept is valuable and needs a tag, but not three.
I propose that we keep regfreecom because it is slightly broader in meaning than the other ...

I see about as much in a tag for the Atlassian company as I do for, say, the [apple] or [microsoft] tags.
