Likewise, if you gain a badge and conditions change to the point where you would no longer qualify, that badge is revoked. This is usually limited to removal of a user, or invalidation of votes

@Adriaan Interesting coincidence. I had the same today. And some DVs in the last days. I wonder if I can ask a mod to check if that is the same user (which I suspect).

@Olaf I got a DV on my latest answer for no reason, though it coincided with me downvoting a typo-answer and a downvote that was my mistake

@AndrewLi It's not about the reps, actually. I accept them if they are fair (and some of my answers are not my best work). But they should at least drop a comment. Without that I cannot be sure it is indeed revenge or I did make a mistake.

@AndrewLi Well, I know some of the DV cannot be for being wrong. I even provide proof by references to the standard. So it's either revenge or they don't get the point (which is a third reason). The latter being the most annoying, because you don't have the chance to explain to them.

@Olaf Yeah. My latest answer I was not 100% sure so I asked if there were any problems with it. I'm saying the 5 upvotes outweighed the 1 downvote so I'm pretty sure the answer is correct.

@AndrewLi If you get a sustained spam/offensive flag it's a -100 hit and mods are notified

@Olaf Sustained means that either enough people raised it so Community(the SO bot) took action or a mod looked at it and confirmed it
