@NathanOliver Some context: A month or so ago, we put together some fairly thought-out plans for automated flagging. We asked CMs for a seal of approval, and didn't really hear much back.

Smokey works because Charcoal can be agile.

If we have to lose the ability to tune filters on the fly, it might be a net loss.

An accepted but very wrong answer to a HNQ went to +12. Even when there was a +8 or 9 comment just below saying "this is completely wrong".

what scared me most was the combination of 2 things: 1) answer that kept getting upvotes despite multiple comments pointing out it was non-sense 2) comment pointing out the fatal flaw kept getting upvoted too, but the answer wasn't downvoted

The feature was brought about partially by our previous monitoring not quite being up to the job (including being subjective, given that it was mainly done by humans), and implemented on the back of Tim's suggestion that there might be integration coming up.

Just gives us an extra degree of security in feedback accuracy.

Being feedback-ignored isn't final - the system won't lift the block automatically, ever, but admins can review and lift ignores.

which... is still subjective, but I'd rather have human review before removing a block that was imposed because someone kept getting it wrong
