This GDPR thing is "funny"... say you have PII in your user profile (which is now accounted by GDPR) and you have collaborated in developer survey where you could fill in link to you user page with ID, and you ask for GDPR data removal, will they change historical data of dev surveys?

@SurajRao sure, everybody is free to oppose to what we're doing. The rules we have and try to enforce here exist to stay within the boundaries the CM and mod team seem comfortable with. If the consensus on meta is that we're doing more harm then good, the room will be closed. While I don't deny there is a crowd that rather see us go, I have yet to see enough support for that POV. This doesn't mean we should close our eyes or be deaf to critique. Keep an open mind and stay constructive.

The interesting thing is the pro-leave open users (mod and CS) don't have a stake in the C language, but they judge about a so very C-ish question (which makes me wonder if OP now understood the problem, as he removed the C tag himself). I thought about flagging the other answer as insulting, but I doubt it will be honoured ( with a mod re-opening). It seems like the current climate supports bashing those of us who care about the site.

@YvetteColomb I didn't. That was irony. But it seems it's becoming a diminishing virtue to detect it. Einstein was wrong: there are things faster than the speed of light in vacuum. "Assume good faith" (formerly a fundamental policy on SO) is one of them. I wonder when I missed that meta post.

@MichaelDodd Afaik TF is somehow connected to HL. Not sure about Portal, though. Portal (1) was more a demo and Portal 2 the resulting game. I'm not sure Portal 3 was even planned. But HL 2 Ep. 2 does end with a cliffhanger and there really should be a successor. After all, there still is nothing really like HL except for some remakes like Black Mesa.

@YvetteColomb I very much feel with you and I my rant is not against you personally, but the situation here in general. The blog post was certainly not helping anyone, but maybe the investors. I understand as a mod you have to follow/enforce the official line (that's why I'm happy not to even have a chance to be anywhere near to becoming a mod). Point is, to me it looks like "assume good faith" has silently been burried deeply underground in favour of "be nice".

@StephenKennedy Hmm, sounds interesting at a first glance. May I suggest you give a try to Tangerine Drean's 70ies pieces? Namely Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet and Pergamon. Logos (Life album) is also great. For driving fast a lone autobahn, "Cloudburst Flight from their "Force Majeure" album is also an excellent takeoff (you don't have an anti-grav belt, do you?).

@StephenKennedy If you like this kind of music, Jean-Michelle Jarre, Vangelis and Mike Oldfield are also worth a try. For reading "Berliner Schule" ("Berlin School"), e.g. on Wikipedia is a start and lists other bands. Oldfield's "The Songs from Distant Earth" made be read the Arthur C. Clake book of the same name which inspired the album. That about "research why we do some things and others not";-)
Just make sure you're in the right mood and won't be disturbed, the TD albums particularily are quite - length and develop slowly.

@StephenKennedy You're out of (suggested edit) reviews, you can't do anything. Normally you can "Reject and Edit" or "Improve suggestion" to single handedly close the review item.
