@Ron Fo a junior C++ programmer? ok. Just get a flat not in the city or with public transport nearby. Instead get something off&cheap and check if the commuting costs by bike/car are affordable (remember it's cold/wet in winter).

@Ron All I can tell as a freelancer you definitively should. Can't speak for employeeds. I had one as an employee, too, and think it was worth it. Maybe the available software now has improved, but keep in mind German tax laws are (among) the most complicated in the world.
@Ron Germany has very different income levels, depending on south, north and west-east! Even in Bavaria they differ a lot. But Munich is certainly one of the highest-paying regions. That's necessary already because of the ver high costs for flats.
@AndyG Regarding a couple of handled requests: this cv-pls request was a repost of this request that you posted 24 hours earlier. It appears to be intended to bump the request. Bumping requests is not permitted. cv-pls requests are moved to the Graveyard after 3 days, if not completed and moved prior to that. Please don't post a duplicate request until after the original is moved to the Graveyard.
Should this be flagged as spam? The poster posted two separate answers promoting his library in quick succession. Both disclosed affiliation. Neither question is asking for a library recommendation, and both answers are litle more than links to his library.
@Machavity That was meant as a different way; I normally use the MMB, because that's easire imo. But then I remembered not every system/browser might support that. And I expect regulars to know "copy link" is in the context menu, which is often on the RMB. Anyway, I think the problem was more whre the link is hidden, not how to open/copy it :-)
@MartinJames I don't get the reference, but I exceptionally was serious. And I use a normal USB cable to my PC (which was not 1€ cheap). I also tried it with a charger working on my phone. It's not that it doesn't chage, it's just that the capacity display is very unreliable. It sticks at 100% for most time, then descends as expected and around 25% it typically turns off during the next day (although It was on standby that time).
It could be related to it being 5+years old now, but in fact it started this 1 or 2 years after purchase (when the series was brand new). I can live with it, it's just annoying I have to stay awake for ca. 20 minutes longer.
@Olaf I got that after my kindle was infested by ants. After evicting the insects, the charge stayed at 100% permanently. Great, except it still shut down after a couple days. I had to flatten it as best I could and factory-reset it to get the charge indicator to work correctly again:(

@Compass 13 minutes for 1% doesn't sound too bad, but I guess the charge indicator is probably unreliable, (I mean, even more unreliable than normal), at such low levels:(

Maybe we should only allow upvotes for users who either answered the question or left a comment at the question which got at least three upvotes itself.
So recently I started reviewing daily in several queues. And in the past week I have been serially downvoted twice by different people. Is this common? Has anyone else experienced this?
@TravisJ If it got handled without flag, that's fine. Such nastinesses have become more and more of a problem, I think we all experience this from time to time.
@TravisJ AFAIK I've only ever had a single revenge downvote, but I've heard lots of stories of people being serially downvoted for moderation/reviewing

@JarrodRoberson That's pretty old. We normally don't handle such old questions unless there has been recent activity. If there was, it would be great you state this to spare us searching.
