I don't think JS is bad.

JS is a language designed by 1 man in 10 days

Under business constraints

It evolved in one of the harshest environments in the field

And it's still far more expressive than most other mainstream languages.

JS has its flaws, like any other language, for sure.

But it's not more flawed than, say, Java, PHP, Ruby, Perl

Each with their own quirks
