@rene Good idea. I'm going to see how they did it. A few regs in Swift already tried to write a good one but it becomes a school lesson each time and I have proof the beginners don't read/understand them. Like "I know there's this answer but my problem is different" (and of course it's not, it's exactly the same answer, but they don't even try because it looks different in their case).

@TylerH There are meta posts about the potential abuse of retagging just to close-dup. The potential for abuse is real; if everyone here tagged questions they wanted closed with java, Tunaki could close them all without any other user needing to spend a vote.

A director sent out an email to the whole department (100 people) about some identical events and each one was 2 hours long except one. So I emailed her back asking what was different about the shorter one, or if it was just a typo. She responded saying "good catch!" And then she emailed the whole department again correcting it and said "Thanks to Tyler H for catching the error!"

Actually, at what point did you learn English? Because (unfortunately) foreign languages aren't really stressed in US education until high school. And it's pretty hard to learn by then.

@Tunaki i dont know that french is the right word for it. he says they are called "Acadians". apparently they moved here before the french language changed, and they kept with the older style

@Kyll well I guess if I had started in high school and continued through college then that's where I'd be. Didn't turn out that way for French, but I did take a few Spanish classes. Which is why I can read Spanish somewhat competently.
