@Kyll I'm pretty sure squirels also sleep as all higher animals. It is no custom, but a biological necessity. It seems to include some kind of garbage collection and re-organising. Quite comparable to large software systems.

depends on your scale, too. To the question "any degree vs no degree" I'd say "go for it"; for "this degree over that degree" I'd generally say it doesn't matter much, unless you're shooting for a job where that degree (florist? bartender?) is absolutely no use

and higher != better -- if you want a qualified job, a Master's is probably okay, but definitely overkill if you just want to swap hard drives

with a Master's you demonstrate academic skills which are conventionally required for anything where you need to plan other people's work, as a first rough cut of articulating a common sense translation

Objective C has no NPE's: you can just call a method on an object that's nil; you just get nil back. Makes you wonder why a certain label is not showing and you see no error in the console.

So that's not ideal either.

Crashes are good, unless they happen on the live environment.

null (nil) is not a problem, problem are languages that don't have nice infrastructure for dealing with such values. Swift is pretty good at it :)
