two CMs and two other GD moderators joined the chatroom but never said anything

the only hint of a resolution I got in the chatroom was DarthVader apologizing for insulting me and stating that the suspension was shortened from 7 days to 24 hours

I would prefer to know whether this was because he was chided by staff/other mods or if he just had a change of heart

I think he was reprimanded to some capacity, whether by other mods or staff

If it was just a change of heart, that's good for him but troubling for the staff/site

why's that? did he say anything to you?

No, but I've never seen him have a change of heart of his own accord :P

and I have seen the other mods try to do more to not be perceived as aggressive

just be careful next time you consider posting a question on GD meta... you might get suspended for it :-)

Is there a way to use either chrome editor or firefox editor to easily tell which css files (and also js files) are being loaded correctly?

I thought it would be in the sources section for chrome but that seems to have lots of stuff missing.. Unless thats an indication that things arent loading correctly

thats what i was just looking through. So if i dont see a 404 status (everything is 200), but something is still missing it then I must not be calling it correctly?

if something doesn't show up in the network tab at all then it's not being attempted to be loaded

Does anyone know it its possible to namespace a imported scss, so it applies its rules to anything under a class and in addition to that class?

// Something like this
.namespace {
@import "~angular-material/angular-material";
&@import "~angular-material/angular-material";
}

.namespace, .namespace * { ... }

@ZachSaucier thats not quite it like, if theres a rule for class .md-select-menu-container in angular-material.

I need it to activate when .md-select-menu-container is within an element with class .namespace, or an element with .md-select-menu-container also has the class .namespace.

So .namespace.md-select-menu-container or .namespace .md-select-menu-container

.namspace.md-select-menu-container, .namespace .md-select-menu-container { ... }

@ZachSaucier but its not exclusive to .md-select-menu-container its every top level rule in angular-material.

I was using .md-select-menu-container as an example.

you can only do that if you have a list of all of the classes you want to do it with

@ZachSaucier no I wasn't reprimanded and the 7 day suspension could have stayed but since I agreed and saw where others were coming from I decided to remove the suspension after 24 hours.
