The only issue I would see is if a moderator intervened on a personal agenda, for example taking something personally offensively that they can't justify banning people for, such as disagreeing viewpoints on issues like feminism or etc, such things probably shouldn't be discussed in SO chat though. as far as I know search engines used to have a slight preference for .html, but the benefit was marginal and nowadays they just recommend to have your urls the same structure (just don't mix extensions)

then again, my SEO knowledge is already outdated as well so who knows what's new

all I know is that 90% of SEO is people repeating incomplete or even incorrect information and everybody being very, very scared of losing their ranking. what a shitty way to go through life
