I made a bookmarklet that automagically searches for blank text elements on a page and replaces it with a big fat red "EMPTY". Makes it easier for people to realise why it's important to clean up their wysiwyg shit.

nah, I did a pretty good job already, completely dropping the sidebar on mobile devices and putting everything in an expandable menu etc. It's just the tweaking that kills me. Building it from the bottom with some kind of framework would've been so much better

would've taken longer, definitely

but the result would be so much better and much more reusable

So... I have use margin:auto to center some text that floats below a nav bar. For some reason, this margin is white and is making a white lane on its sides. I try setting background and background color to remove these white strips but they won't vanish. How can I fix this, and why is margin even giving itself a background color? Thanks!

Show more, is the margin'ed div. And the margins on each side have a white background which I cannot get rid of.

@Austin One cool thing about web browsers is that you can press F12 and open up developers tools, and click the first icon on the top row of the developer tools window, and then hover over any element on the page to see where it is in the markup, and what styles are being applied to it

A huge portion of CSS questions would be self-answered if people dug around in that for a bit

Yea that is what I am currently doing... the second I add margining though its adding a white background, solely on the margin. The div element itself is fine.

I am using bootstrap, and it is in a "row"
