We were talking about how many moderators are actively moderating, if he's on leave he's not moderating, we weren't tying them together based on why they're not moderating
@M.A.R. How else would you phrase three mods currently not doing work for various reasons? One stepped down, one is potentially entirely gone, and one is on a break.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people who're working in/with communication technologies and the protocols involved therein show an utter disregard for rules/conventions (i.e. protocols) when it comes to natural languages ...
There is a difference between a chat room and anything professional, be it documentation, client correspondence, etc. Even then, very few people care about the "correct" use of en-/em-/figure dashes, hyphens and minus signs. Even less so with handwriting where its nigh impossible to tell them apart from one another, don't get me started on semicolons.

@Dragonrage Dose it nwo. Wrtiing thnigs corectly maeks it bettre fro everone. I'm not implying you endorse crappy writing, or that I know the second thing about dyslexia. Striving to write better and more comprehensible sentences has an intrapersonal side to it as well.

I generally know how to use a hyphen, but when should I use an en-dash instead of an em-dash, or when should I use a hyphen instead of an em-dash?
