doesn't really change anything. I mean, there is no real use case ever for such an instance if you "code around" it. In my case, it's just convenience and lazyness. I have a function which writes into an internal data structure and one property should only be filled the very first time this methods gets called

so of course I can just set a flag or something, but I just wondered if that's necessary

for postgress you can Offset and Limit at the end of any statment or does it need to be proceeded by an orderby or something, like can i do this ... t1.stuff = $1 t2.stuff= $2 OFFSET $3 LIMIT $ 4

either you are interested in the type, then you check with typeof or you are interested in the value/content, whether or not there is one
