I would probably put it in a char/varchar/string field, but in a pinch, Buffer.from should work

as long as you use the same encoding on both ends

if you base64 encode it, you don't

mathematica's pattern matching rules are awesome compared to REGEX doesn't really help here

my suggestion is still /sqlReader\.Item$"(.+)"$/ so you can do minimal escaping

if you don't have any quotes, it shouldn't matter if you use .+ or .+?
