Since "logging in" is really meaningless, but it's being allowed to get information that is important, could I do this:

-Person "logs in"
-server session is created with id, access level, user agent, ip
-if "keep logged in", a server-side only cookie is created for the two token system. an additional cookie is created that is available to js that just says "loggedIn = true".

The user leaves the site without "logging out", but the session is destroyed and they have no access to private information.

Easier to discern variables from other things by far. Also just makes better logical sense to me that you would have something special at the beginning to state you mean a variable.
