That's how I know the term is used though it's not accurate people know that meaning - just like when people say JavaScript is single threaded when there is nothing inherently single threaded about it.

Well, I'm writing a function that expects an element whose height and vertical offset are needed.

Sometimes window is passed in as that element.

I can get the height no problem, but it would be easier if .offset() just returned {"top": 0, "left": 0}.

I always drive through Elwood on my way to Indianapolis (Going at 6 when I get off!) just because it's so cool. It's mostly empty, the drive-in food places are closed. They have those old drive-up motel type things going on. It's hard to explain, but basically it's abandoned and State Road 37 goes straight through it by the windmill project.
