The sawtooth is due to reputation typically increasing by 10 at a time. This effect is hidden by the larger binning (due to the logarithmic scale) as the plot moves to the right, and also reduced on the right, as a percentage, by the increasing likelihood of having earned (or lost) points in other multiples. I fear that they don't want to know when users are frustrated. Or at least, the longtime users that choose to participate in Meta. Seems like they're more interested in appeasing inexperienced users who might take to Twitter and criticize the site than actually hearing the frustration. I think they'd rather us just shut up and continue to work for free for them. You can say they're ephemeral all you want, but that doesn't mean they should be cleaned up without a good reason. @andreas thank you 🙂 I am on day 44 of my fanatic badge. I haven't given up. When I wrote this, part of what I thought was that the meta team would maybe share in my pain, and it would be a community bonding moment, strengthening my resolve and my feeling of belonging. Instead, it genuinely ruined chunks of several days. Whatever this community is, I don't fit in with my approach, so I am doing this solo, and steering clear of meta moving forward. Its not something I've had to think about (or every thought I would) but there needs to be a more anonymous way to handle complaints of this nature or we will not get this feedback (and yes, I know that is hard to do, think of whistleblower programs and how difficult those are to setup, and would be ripe for abuse so I'm not saying we should rush just.....I currently am thinking about SO whistleblowers and that in & of itself is frightening). — JGreenwell3 mins ago

@AndrewMorton When a message is a reply, on the left of the post, there is a up and left-turn arrow indicating it's a reply. In the main chat, if you hover over a reply, then the message which it is replying to is highlighted. If you hover over the message which is being replied to, then the reply is highlighted. If you click on the up and left-turn arrow which indicates it's a reply, then you are taken to the message to which it's replying, even if the message being replied to is not even close to where the reply is, or even if the replied-to message has been moved to another chat room. — Makyen5 mins ago

@BhargavRao whenever you have time to not miss any comments even if time between calls are high (hence you need to retrive more then 100 comments), you can use the hasMore property of the api json response. Basically you start with a fromDate (that is set as bot start time), then you do a recursive method that recalls it self if hasMore is true always setting fromDate to last comment retrieved (be sure to order by fromDate) something like this
you need &order=desc&sort=creation in api call.. and also when you exit you set your fromDate to last comment retrieved, hence you will never miss any comment from the time that the bot starts even if you call every 10 min.
You can see here how it's used to retrieved all comments on SO, now there is a mess there since it's automatically adapting time between calls (to save api quota), but the important part is how it uses the long start variable

After having read this I still don't get how it is obvious that X4X5X6X7 (I take this example) stabilize the code space. In your answer you seemed to use the fact you know what the code space looks like noticing that X4X5X6X7 applied on $|0_L\rangle$ gives $|1_L\rangle$. What perturbs me is that if we talked about Z4Z5Z6Z7 operators, I would directly see the link with parity check matrix as their eigenvalues give the parity of the bits 4 to 7 exactly like the first line of parity check matrix. The general reason is the fact that the real devices introduce noise. Some of the reasons I listed are components of noise. The gate and readout errors exist because of the noise created when applying gates and measuring respectively. Granted, decoherence and relaxation are more related to the qubit itself, but I felt the need to list them as they are still very important factors to remember when using the real devices.
