You adapter passes a listener to the viewholder and the viewholder calls that listener.

I have a ToDo list which every listed item on it results in more ToDo stuff cause of bad luck

like today I had to simply move my car into the garage for winter stalling, the car's battery is dead so I have to charge it (added to list) as I was removing the battery I knocked on the paint with the wrench which took a tiny bit of painture off. Now I need to test the battery, get a new one then get the car to the painter and have that spot removed

before I can go back to list item 1 which is moving the car into the garage

2nd thing my dad wanted me to order a badge which is located in Spain. After being on the phone with several spanish companies and what felt like a million redirections in the call they figured the whole listed item is no longer there. This is after nearly a month of trying to get the order placed and send it here which seemed an impossible task already

so instead of simply buying that piece now I have to search for a new one

3rd thing is I wanted my app not to have the IF object == anymore so I advanced my inheritence to stay with the SOLID principle. This took a lot of refactoring and now that its done the object returns with empty values on the 2nd level of inherited properties. Probably because I need to go one level deeper into inheritence which I prefer not too cause ironically that creates redundant long constructors (can't have two at the same time ofc)

I know they are petty problems but cumulatively they ruined my day

that's true.. but at least you have something you're enjoying doing that's keeping you busy and relevant. Honestly - I feel like solo projects show a shit ton of initiative and passion for programming and it looks REALLY good on a resume/portfolio

thanks but reality is some days it doesnt feel that way, somedays it feels like im just unemployed but I never have been unemployed since I was young cause im always under contract of at least one company. Just the factor of paid work is less

also my mind tends to have more concentration regarding on programming at night so sometimes it ruins sleep schedueles

its not worrying me that much, and it gets the job done. Deadline is end of this year so I have no other option or it means postponing

I'd use a Uri builder of some kind

so have them browse for the file and then have me write the url?

im not sure what you mean with "have me" but there are libraries who generate the right Uri after a file is picked

you should not worry about the path to it, unless you want to specify a certain path to the file (specifying the folder a user can choose from in FilePicker)

well i'm having the option of letting the user type in the path to a file

and it's relative to the project

but they can' enter other data in the field

it's sort of a shortcut

if the string is formed as a path then it loads the path

i can provide a file picker but it's a bit more work

currently it's a form

FilePicker is way less work you just let the Android File Manager take care of the user picking the file

a user can type in the content they want

after picking it generates the Uri for you

yeah that makes the most sense

for the heck of it, I tried one of the vapes in there with a flavor but im not a regular smoker

friend who was a smoker and now vapes came over today I asked him if he was interested in some vapes but he said "20mg nicotine? No way thats waaay to heavy"

which explaines me being noxious since using this vape

the diarreah and feeling like throwing up was related to nicotine poisonous

thought I just had a bad day or two

When I was at the height of my smoking cigarettes career - I quit and switched to vaping - and started at 12mg and thought that was WAY too high. Went down to 6mg and that was closer to a cigarette

I'm now at 1mg

I have to mix it myself because they don't even go that low xD
