anyone ever used synthetic as a findviewbyid replacement in a flavored build? Because it is ALWAYS packaged with flavor name... so I can't use it in the "main" classes. Anyone an idea for me?!

Hi everyone, I have a question that could have many answers, but I'm looking for the best practice here if there are any! What would you do if you have a sticky foreground service which could have some data which the service is processing and you need to grab the data being processed in one of your data repositories and merge it with some other data source?
How the communication will happen between the data repository and the service and where will you keep the data which is being processed in the service?
ummm the thing is that the process here is a kind of in-memory thing and I'm not sure about using a database at this stage. it's an uploading service, I am using database after the upload is successful though to persist the item

I have such a weird issue right now.. I have to modify HTML in my .XSL file so there is no differences between opening this bullshit legacy webapp in Chrome and IE .. but my dev page displays differently than my UAT page even though the source is 100% the same o.o
So I guess I need to F12 the UAT version, edit it to look how I want it.. then make those changes in my source

Hell of a morning. A Semi truck with a high trailer pulled over in front of my house to check his load or something, and ended up catching my internet cable line on his truck. Yanked the whole line off the house until it snapped, and took out one of my gutters in the process, all while I was watching from my living room.
The driver called the city power officials, who came by and clipped the line, and he also called the cops to come take a report. He didn't tell me exactly who he was calling, and pretty much didn't want to talk to me.
eh, from his shoes I can understand that. to him you're the angry homeowner who he just pissed off, probably nothing productive will come out of speaking to you.

global warming won't be solved until we either have an energy revolution or the cost of emissions is reflected in the market, people are too selfish and will continue to use the cheapest most convenient thing
I mean this car is driving for 30+ years now, while your hybrid will be done within 10'ish (it's sales are aligned by hype) and recycling that battery is one poluting job
