btw carl i am not sure behind the reasoning but only framework loaders are deprecated , and since the support loader is being decoupled from fragment and activity , the corresponding support method to access from activity and fragment have also been deprecated , but getting a loader with support loadermanager doesnt seem to be deprecated atleast in code
