How do you guys handle responsiveness at your app?

I use constraintlayouts so the position stays put, it works well

But the width/height of certain elements needs to be responsive

I see docs using multiple activity_xml's for different screen sizes like mediaqueries on CSS but it doesn't feel efficient to me

they resize automatically because of the dp system, you only use different xml files if you want to have a different layout or something. Not for simple resizing

The recyclerView's height here is set to 140dp, but on screens with a big height the recyclerview does not get stretched at all

You have only one anchor point for the rv and thats the textview above

that's why it takes the whole bottom space if you use wrap content
