@TimCastelijns I've only used them in a couple weird cases when I needed to return from an outer method for example (which is in their docs, I can try to dig up a snippet if you need it) but idk about frowned upon. Why are they frowned upon in other languages?

@Code-Apprentice Both. I put code in the blog post as necessary, and at the end link to a full sample project on GitHub. I have an AndroidEssence GitHub organization where I host most of them. I want to go through those repos some day and add READMEs and links to the corresponding blog posts but I haven't done that yet.

Ah that makes sense. The only time I used it was because Kotlin made me somehow based on the way the code was designed and yeah now I should probably fix it lol

when you do retreiveOnlyFromCache() on a glide instance, will Glide throw LoadFailedException if it fails to find the requested item in the cache?
