How would I go about sorting them to 1-0,1-1,1-2,1-10,2-1?

Can't do a simple sort as 1-1 and 1-10 will evaluate to the same when converting to decimal

My best guess so far is to split it at the hyphen, then sort normally twice

if you create N clusters based on the first number

Then you can compare the second number with the new one; that's not O(N) but it's not O(N^2) either :P
